The Rocket Allstars Racing Series moved to the Perth Motorplex, just south of the western capital, as part of the 39th Westernationals last weekend. Of the 352 entries, over 70 made the trip from interstate. During the nineties the ANDRA points system was amended to provide a 50% bonus at the Westernationals, mainly to give the local competitors an opportunity to take part in the series without more than one trip to the eastern states. Combined with the great Western Australian hospitality this has gradually attracted more interstate racers and the track wasn’t the only place records were set on the last weekend in February. Drivers and riders may contest every round but they may only count their two best results before the finals at the Winternationals.
